The latest information regarding COVID-19 and USD290's response effort in one spot.

USD 290 parents, on Monday, March 30, our staff will begin the implementation of the continual learning plan outlined by the State to ensure that we meet our students’ learning needs in these unprecedented times. All of our schools will use a combination of packet learning and remote learning to help our students remain academically engaged while we navigate through building closures. Below you will find the various categories of our district’s plan and what you can expect from our staff. You should have also been contacted by your teacher regarding our plan to provide instruction and what your student would need to be best served.

We are working through a very fluid situation which seems to change daily. Our staff will continue their efforts to provide quality strategies and engaging activities to our families even though the targets are constantly moving. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work together to best provide for your student(s). We have tried to make the processes throughout the district as consistent between buildings as possible for those of you with students in multiple schools, however, the grade level expectations will require some differentiation.

As we will not have the opportunity to meet with students face to face in this environment our relationships and communication with parents will be even more important. Our staff has tried to keep their methods of communication consistent with what they were doing prior to this event for your ease. Knowing that our partnership is essential for meeting our students' needs please reach out to your teacher, principal, or the district office if you have concerns as we navigate through this uncharted territory.
